Is it necessary to make intention for ghusal of janaabat?
Question
Is there any niyyat specially for ghusl. I hear people say things like:
Niyyah for Ghusl Bath after having sexual intercourse. "Nawaithu an’ahthasila huslan minal’janaabathi wathahaarathan lil’badni waa’sthibaahathan lis’salaathi ashhadu’anlaahilaaha il’lal’lahu wa’ashadu an’na’muhammadar’rasoolul’lahi.
If I just say that I am taking ghusl to clean myself from janabat, is this okay or doI have to recite the above?
Answer
Making niyyat for ghusal of janaabat is not necessary.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
