Reciting a surah as mahr
Question
Hanafis can only give wealth as mahr whereas Shaafi'ees can recite a surah, etc. Does this only work if both boy and girl are Shaafi'ee or if one is Shaafi'ee and the other Hanafi?
Answer
Both have to be Shaafi`ee.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
