Going for umrah from Dammam via Jeddah
Question
I am going to travel to Dammam, Saudi Arabia. I have niyyat for Umrah and will be travelling to Jeddah to my relatives house and will be going to Makkah the next day. Do I need to wear ihram from Dammam or should I wear ihram in Jeddah at my relatives house before leaving for Umrah the next day.
Answer
If your destination is Makkah Mukarramah and you are only stopping over at Jeddah to rest during the journey, then you should tie your ihraam at Dammaam.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
