Observing purdah in front of non Muslim ladies
Question
I would like to know clearly the hukam (ruling) of observing purdah (niqaab) in front of non Muslim ladies? Is it the same hukam as having to observe purdah in front of males... Kindly please advise as I heard the masla but I haven't come across it in my studies in madrasah.
Answer
Many of our Ulama are of the opinion that a similar level of purdah should be observed. Hence, precaution requires that purdah be observed from them as well.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
