Father not working and taking care of the home
Question
My father resigned from his job in 2018 and from then he has not been working. It is very hard financially as my mother is a housewife. I do work and contribute to the household occasionally. My father sits at home and doesn't want to work. I am quite upset with this as he is supposed to be the breadwinner. How do I speak to him about this because it's taking a toll on me.
Answer
It may be appropriate that you get some senior person in the family or a person he respects to speak to him. It is not at all appropriate that he remains at home and makes you leave the home to earn a living. A woman is supposed to be enjoying her safety and sanctuary within the confines of her home, and if there is a genuine need to earn a living then she should do so from home.
