Investing in the stock market
Question
Is the stock market halaal to invest in? i.e. there are companies whose products are good and halaal, but their financial reports show some small percentage of interest-income, or interest expense.
Answer
On account of the complications in the stock market and the operations and dealings of listed companies not being consistent with the Shar’ee requirements in many aspects, we discourage people from investing and purchasing shares in them.
