Is fanaa fillah the first stage of marifah?
Answer
Fana means tasleem, and fana and tasleem are of different ranking. There is an entry level and there is an advanced level. Obviously, the one who is commencing, he is at the entry level and just beginning to recognise what fana is all about.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
