Remaining covered when being intimate with one's spouse

I am married for 13 years but I am not sure how to perform the wifes needs in bed according to Islam. I have been doing it fully naked inside the blanket or covered by a sheet and looking at each other. Is this allowed?
Answer
Yes, though it is not the best thing to look at the private areas.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
