Tying the Ihraam before Passing the Meeqaat
Question
At which point is one required to tie the ihraam?
Answer
One is required to tie the ihraam before passing the meeqaat. If one does not pass by any meeqaat, then one is required to tie the ihraam when passing by the muhaazaat of the closest meeqaat.
The muhaazaat of a meeqaat refers to that place which has the same distance to the Haram as its meeqaat (i.e. the distance between it and the Haram is the same as the distance between its meeqaat and the Haram).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
