Spouses engaging in intercourse during iddat
Question
If after three divorces, a woman mistakenly engaged in intercourse with the husband during the iddat period, does the iddat get extended to 6 months? Or does it remain 3. I read that it becomes 6 months. Please clarify.
Answer
If she experiences haiz , then her iddat will remain three haiz unless she is pregnant. In that case, her iddat will terminate upon the delivery of the child . They both should make sincere taubah for committing this haraam act during the iddat period.
