Woman discharging while making tawaaf
Question
I had istihadha but not a mazoor. I placed cotton wool like a khursuf but only after completing my umrah and coming out of Ihraam I saw that it messed through. What will I do?
Answer
If the discharge came out during the tawaaf, then you should repeat the tawaaf. You will not have to repeat the saee. If you do not repeat the tawaaf, then you will have to give one dam.
The dam is that you will have to slaughter a sheep or goat (which suffices for qurbaani) in the precincts of the haram with the niyyat of atoning for the violation. After the animal is slaughtered, the meat should be distributed among the poor.
