The name Mu'aaz
Question
I wanted to find out about naming my son Mua'adh after Mua'adh ibn Jabal (Radiyallahu Anhu). I was told that it is pronounced as Mua'ath. Kindly advise.
Answer
There is no exact English spelling (transliteration) for this name. However in Arabic this is how the word is written and pronounced: مُعَاذْ
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
