Forgetting to make sajda-e-sahw
Question
I had prayed my Zuhr but whilst praying I made a mistake that required of me to perform sajda sahw. But I forgot about it and just completed my Zuhr as normal. Do I repeat the Salaah, make a qazaa?
Answer
If sajdah-e-sahw was left out, then the salaah will have to be repeated as long as the time of that salaah does not elapse. If the time elapses, one will not have to repeat the Salaah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

( يجب بعد سلام واحد عن يمينه فقط ) . . . ( سجدتان و ) ... ( تشهد وسلام ) . . . ( إذا كان الوقت صالحا ) . . . ( بترك ) متعلق بيجب ( واجب ) مما مر في صفة الصلاة ( سهوا ) فلا سجود في العمد . . . ( وإن تكرر ) لأن تكراره غير مشروع ( كركوع ) متعلق بترك واجب ( قبل قراءة ) الواجب لوجوب تقديمها
و في رد المحتار:
قوله ( بترك واجب ) أي من واجبات الصلاة الأصلية لا كل واجب إذ لو ترك ترتيب السور لا يلزمه شيء مع كونه واجبا بحر (الدر المختار مع حاشية ابن عابدين 2/ 80)
قوله ( وإعادتها بتركه عمدا ) أي ما دام الوقت باقيا وكذا في السهو ان لم يسجد له وإن لم يعدها حتى خرج الوقت تسقط مع النقصان وكراهة التحريم ويكون فاسقا آثما وكذا الحكم في كل صلاة أديت مع كراهة التحريم (حاشية الطحطاوي على مراقي الفلاح ص 247)
