Khidr (Alayhis Salaam)
Question
What is the Islamic belief regarding Khidr the green man? Was he a prophet, an angel or a wali? Also does he go around helping walis and stories of him are present throughout Muslim history?
Answer
With regard to Khidr (Alaihis Salaam) there are two opinions. The preferred opinion is that he is a Nabi.
There are two opinions regarding him being alive.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
