People of the village paying towards the salary of the Imaam
Question
Everyone pays a fixed amount towards the Imam's salary in our village. What does the sharia say about a person who despite having money refuses to pay just because he doesn't come for salaah?
Answer
People should not be forced and compelled to contribute towards the salary of the Imaam. Compelling people to contribute is impermissible.The Musjid committee should only accept from those who are willing to contribute.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
