Engagement functions
Question
Is having pre nikah functions found in shariah? We have heard one aalim saying e.g. engagements etc are permissible in principle if no intermingling dancing or exchanging of rings takes place.
Answer
There is no basis in Islam for engagement functions.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
