What the Darul Iftas say
“Regarding the greeting of “Eid Mubaarak”, a common occurrence in our time, there are two views amongst the Fuqaha. Allama Shaami Rahmatullahi Alaihi quoting Ibn Ameer-e-Haaj has written that greeting with the words “Eid Mubaarak” should be included amongst the other famous Duas and regarded as Mustahab.”
“It is not essential to buy new clothes. It is Sunnah to wear one?s best clothes, provided they conform to the Shari?ah.”
