Making Jamaat with one's wife at home
Question
If a person does not go to a Musjid, and performs Salaah at home with his wife behind him, would he be absolved of the Wajib of Jamaat Salaah?
Answer
If he does not have a valid reason for leaving the jamaat salaah it will be wrong of him to avoid performing without jamaat.

عن أبى هريرة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لقد هممت أن آمر بالصلاة فتقام ثم آمر رجلا فيصلى بالناس ثم أنطلق معى برجال معهم حزم من حطب إلى قوم لا يشهدون الصلاة فأحرق عليهم بيوتهم بالنار (سنن أبي داود رقم 548)
