Sheep and Beef Casings
Question
It has come to my attention that a Mufti from abroad has declared the sheep and beef casings (intestines) that we use in the manufacture of sausages and wors as Haraam due to the fact that Najis passes through the casing (intestine) when the animal is alive. Please comment.
Answer
If the casing has been thoroughly cleaned and washed out and the traces of the impurities have been removed all together, the casing will be paak.
