Feet Facing Qiblah

Question

If a bed is placed in the direction of Qiblah, such that the feet will be pointing towards Qiblah while sleeping, would this be acceptable?

Answer

The Ka’bah Sharif is amongst the salient features of Islam. Allah Ta’ala states in the Quraan Majeed:

“The one who observes the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, then such things emanate from the piety of the hearts.”

The Qiblah is the direction of the Ka’bah Sharif. Therefore, the Qiblah, as well as well as the Ka’bah should be respected. Stretching one’s legs towards the Qiblah is a disrespectful action and Makrooh.
