Question

Hazrat Mufti Sb.

A person named Khalid Sayed is the Head of the ANC youth league and a MPL in the Western Cape Legislature.

On Lailatul Ashuraa at the Ahlul Bait centre in Cape Town he made the following comments: “The Khulafa e Raashideen and Sahaba (RA) are Munafiqeen who usurped the Khilafah and hid their Kufr..”

What is the status of the Imaan of such a person?

Bismihi Ta`ala

Such a person will have to renew his Imaan . One should make sincere tauba to Allah Taa’la and avoid making such blasphemous statements in the future.
