Question

If a person has some water on their hands which they think has come into contact with some impurity (80 percent sure) but the water on their hand is clear with no visible impurity and then they accidentally touch a cold-room / fridge does this make it impure If so, what should be done as people use it daily to store food etc . Also is the prayers of everyone who touches the fridge invalid?!

Answer

Respected Sister in Islam Our response to your query is as follows:

In the Hanafi Madhab, water will only be considered impure if a person is absolutely certain that there is some impurity in it, or one of its three qualities changes. Until then, water will be considered pure. Since the water is considered pure, touching the cold room fridge does not make it impure. Touching the fridge will not invalidate anyone’s salaah.
