The method of washing each limb thrice

As salaam alaykum

I have heard that in Wudhu one needs to wash ones limb 3 times. Now how is this done with the taps we use and more so regarding the feet?

The answer to your query is as follows:

It is Sunnah to wash the limbs 3 times. This can be done by the water encompassing that limb completely three times. Therefore a person will use his hand to ‘wash’ his limb 3 times while the water is running, if he is using the tap. Alternatively, he can pour water in his hand from a Mudd, and pass his hand with water over the limb, encompassing it 3 times.
