Ihraam with press studs

Question

As salaamu Alaikum

please advise if it is permissible to put 3 press studs to keep the top part of the ihram closed for men, so that it doesn’t move, shift or fall during tawaaf, salaah etc.

many shops are also selling ihraam with press studs and velcro. is this allowed?

Answer

The answer to your question is as follows:

One should abstain from using an ihraam with press studs as this is considered makrooh. However if one fears that his awrah will be exposed or he has a valid excuse , then it will be permissible.

الجواب وبالله التوفیق: افضل یہی ہے کہ احرام کی لنگی بالکل سلی ہوئی نہ ہو، لیکن اگر کشف عورت کے اندیشہ سے اسے درمیان سے سی کر پہنا جائے تو اس کی بھی گنجائش ہے، اس کی وجہ سے کوئی جنایت لازم نہیں آتی ۔
